Custom Physical Development Trim Trail
Overview
Half Acres Primary School wanted to turn a section of their playground field into a high-impact zone for physical literacy. Their mission was to move beyond standard play and offer a curriculum-aligned space that specifically targets gross motor skills. We designed a sprawling, multi-element trim trail that transforms the open grass into a circuit of “mini-adventures,” pushing the boundaries of balance, coordination, and upper-body strength. Since the installation, the field has become a hub of active play where children no longer just run – they navigate, climb, and crawl. It’s a space that encourages healthy risk-taking and gives every child a sense of accomplishment as they move from the wobbly bridge to the final stepping stone.

Why Schools Trust Precision Timber
The Half Acres story is found in the determined look on a child’s face as they navigate the wobbly bridge for the first time without wobbling. We build for that surge of pride when they reach the end of the rope tunnel and realise they’re stronger than they thought. Schools trust us because we know that a secure timber beam is more than a piece of wood – it’s the bridge to a child’s self-reliance. We don’t just build equipment; we build the small, brave moments that stay with a student long after the bell rings.
