Bespoke Firepit Shelter with Integrated Kitchen Storage
Overview
Foresteers Outdoor Nursery is a place where nature is the classroom, and they needed a structure that could keep pace with their rugged, outdoor-first philosophy. They approached us with a sophisticated brief: to create a massive, 8.5m x 4.5m “hub” that combined a secure kitchen and food storage area with a central firepit for outdoor cooking. This wasn’t just about shelter; it was about creating a functional heart for the nursery where children could learn the ancient arts of fire-lighting and food preparation in a safe, professionally engineered environment.
“The team were amazing at adapting to the last-minute change in requirements. A new design and plan were quickly established. Not only are the team amazing at their craft but also great with the never-ending questions from the children. I would happily recommend Precision Timber and their high-quality work.”
Hayley Smithy, Nursery Owner, Foresteers Outdoor Nursery
The Foresteers project isn’t just about the 8.5-meter beams; it’s about the quiet moment a child finally masters the manual water pump or the first time they taste food they helped cook over a fire. We build for those tiny breakthroughs. Pre-schools trust us because we know that a well-crafted shelter is a space for children’s biggest “I did it!” moments. We don’t just manufacture structures; we manufacture spaces that spark confidence.
