Cotswolds Designer Outlet is home to a refined mix of leading fashion, lifestyle, and homeware brands including Adidas, Boss, Calvin Klein, Levi’s, M&S Outlet, and many more. To enhance the family shopping experience, the outlet set out to create a children’s play area where fun, imagination, and shared moments could flourish.
We were commissioned by House of Play to design, manufacture, and install a bespoke playground that complements the outlet’s premium setting while providing a safe, sustainable, and imaginative environment for children of all ages. Through expert craftsmanship and creative design, we delivered a play space that blends beautifully with its surroundings and encourages children to explore, connect, and play freely.
The core challenge was to develop a bespoke play area that aligned with the outlet’s sophisticated image while being robust, safe, and deeply engaging for children.
To meet this vision, we set out to:
1. Robinia Tower
The centrepiece of the play area is a stunning Robinia Tower, designed with a subtle castle theme to capture children’s imaginations. This feature includes:

2. Robinia Benches
To complement the playground’s natural aesthetic, we designed Robinia wood benches in the same theme as the tower. These provide a comfortable seating area for parents and carers, encouraging longer visits and family bonding.

3. Timber Picket Fence
We installed a 10.5m timber picket fence with 1.2m height and seven sturdy timber posts. This fencing ensures safety and enclosure for the play space while maintaining an open, welcoming look that blends seamlessly with the outlet’s surroundings.
